Now it's time to set up a Connections key. To do this, you'll need to link two Unchained accounts and work with the key sharer to borrow one of their keys for use within your Unchained account.
From your Unchained dashboard, click Connections on the left side of the page.
You should have received a Connections code from your trusted family member, friend or key agent. Paste it in the box that says Received a code? Paste it here.
Connections can go both ways
If you wish, you can be the one to invite your friend or family member to connect with you. Connections can be established either way—feel free to generate and send a code to your loved one if you prefer that route.
Click Request connection to send a request to your friend or family member with an existing Unchained account.
After you’ve requested your Connection to be established, your trusted friend or family member must navigate to their Connections page, choose Pending, and Accept the Connection request.
They will then need to choose the appropriate the key to share with you.
After the key has been shared with you, you should be able to see the shared key in the Keys section.
Now you’re ready to use this key to build an Unchained vault!
Want to build a vault with two shared keys?
You can build a vault with two shared keys, but only if they are shared from two distinct Unchained users. For your security, you cannot create a vault with two shared keys from the same person, as they would have majority control over your vault.
